Baptist Tracts and Missions: February 2014

At our meeting place at sister Joan Sorreda's house for a short fellowship then off we went.

We were starting to give tracts (Luisa, Ate Alma and Janet). Others went ahead.

It seems like any Sunday afternoon. Bible Baptist Church women gather together for a weekly fellowship at a woman-member's house. Usually, we have bible sharing, discussion of new ideas relevant to improving wifely performances, group counselling, and even make plans to help the church in whatever ways we can as a group - from cleaning to anything we find ourselves very useful in the area of married-women endeavor.

But today is different. This Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2014, eleven women at Bible Baptist Church in Tandag group together for one purpose: to distribute gospel tracts. For how long? For as long as there are tracts left in our bags.

Today is 17th Caraga Regional Athletic Meet and the venue is in Tandag Sports Complex. People from all walks of life are there to watch. We are there, therefore, to distribute gospel tracts to them. What a perfect idea, though the eight hundred plus tracts are not enough. But, that is the only supply we have now. The big bulk of tracts were already distributed few months ago. This big event now did not come part of our plan before. How we wish to have more tracts!

As we close the day by attending the Sunday evening church service, we are able to share wonderful experiences in tract-giving. The good reactions of many people we gave tracts are just small reason to give more. The biggest goal is soul winning - letting people know there is salvation to those who will accept Jesus Christ truthfully as their Saviour and Lord. We pray the tracts speak to them this way.

Still, there is so much to do with tracts distributions, so much to go and so much to give them, provided we are willing and able. May the Spirit-Filled Women of Bible Baptist Church in Tandag, Surigao del Sur would continue to do so for the glory of God.

We hope this is an encouragement.
